The Cabrillo National Monument is a historic and natural treasure maintained by the National Park Service. A team of scientists and resource managers works to preserve the unique ecosystems and diversity of plants and animals that call Cabrillo National Monument home. In collaboration with our partners at the US Navy, the US Geological Survey, the San Diego Natural History Museum, and local academic institutions, Cabrillo researchers diligently monitor both the terrestrial and aquatic biomes across the parks 166 acres and beyond. This information allows us to best manage these public lands, in the face of a rapidly changing global environment, for the enjoyment of many generations to come.
